Taekwondo's ultimate goal is for the student to achieve self-reflection through physical training and self-discipline, and this course builds on the foundation developed in Beginning Taekwondo I. Throughout this course, students will learn to understand the philosophical and historical backgrounds of Taekwondo; to master Taekwondo kicks, punches, blocks, and forms up to the blue belt level; to perform Taekwondo non-touching sparring using the basic and advanced skills; and to self-reflect on their physical and mental growth through the training. Pass/fail only. Prerequisite: Beginning Taekwondo I or permission of the instructor. This course is fully online. Students enrolled in day classes at Washington University should review the policies of their home division on credit earned for online courses.
