This course is tailored for individuals with 0-3 years of prior training or knowledge in the evolution of ballet in America. It provides a structured introduction to ballet technique, encompassing traditional terminology. The curriculum includes introductory readings on Ballet and Theatre, serving as a foundation for exploring classical and contemporary ballet repertoire from American and European choreographers. Emphasis is placed on fundamental anatomical considerations, body alignment, and the classical movement vocabulary. Prerequisite: 0-3 years of training or permission from the instructor.
