On Tuesday, April 4, 2023, Sydney Watt and Will Bonfiglio, graduate Students in Theatre and Performance Studies presented individual research as well as their joint project at the 28th Annual Graduate Research Symposium.
We are proud to announce that Will's research, Ethically Staging Sanctuary: Questioning the Representation of Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Contemporary Theatre and Performance, was awarded 2nd Place in the Overall category and 1st Place in the Humanities category.
Will and Sydney's joint PAD research, Rethinking Monuments in Forest Park, St. Louis: Reckoning with the Past & Designing New Futures was awarded 2nd place in the Humanities category.
Sydney also presented her individual research, Performances of ASMR: The Theatrical-Theraputic Spectrum,
